Elk hunting in the Shoshone Forest around my cabin in Sunlight Basin is some of the best in the lower 48. Our elk hunt is typically 7 days and running out of our cabin which is easily accessed by vehicle in Sunlight Basin, with no travel days, ensures that we can hunt the full 7 days. You will leave your vehicle at the cabin which is on private land which means no pack in or pack out days!

A typical day consists of getting up to a home cooked breakfast at 4:30 am, fixing a lunch for the day at our fully stocked lunch bar while your guides are getting the horses ready for the day. You will drive to one of the many trailheads we use to access hundreds of miles of forest and wilderness. If you are successful that day, your elk will be packed out to the trailhead and back to the cabin for all to see! You will be served another home cooked meal with great conversation and relaxation.
